Founder and CEO

My name is Filaine Deronnette, and I’ve spent more than 20 years working to make sure people’s voices are heard—whether in their workplace, in their communities, or at the decision-making tables where change really happens. I started my career in labor unions, where I helped negotiate contracts to protect workers’ rights, and today I run my own coaching company called Good Works Coaching.

Through Good Works, I help leaders and organizations find clarity, confidence, and courage—so they can not only succeed in their work but also make a real difference in the lives of others. Some of my favorite programs focus on teaching resilience, self-care, and how to lead in a world that’s constantly changing, especially with technology shaping our future.

I also serve on several boards across Massachusetts, where I work on issues like health equity, racial justice, and economic opportunity. My Haitian roots and my faith play a huge part in who I am and how I lead—I’m also a co-pastor of a church in Northeastern Massachusetts.

When I think about footprints, mine are about making sure others can walk boldly in their purpose. My hope is that the path I’ve walked makes it easier for the next generation—students like you—to step forward with courage, creativity, and compassion.
